Our Mission
We are committed to developing chess in Kuwait by building an integrated and sustainable system that supports excellence, organizing local and international tournaments, and training national cadres capable of competing in various forums. We are also keen to expand partnerships with relevant local and international entities, thereby contributing to the creation of an advanced sporting environment that meets the highest international standards.
Historical overview
The Kuwait Mind Games Club was established following the announcement of the Kuwait Chess Federation by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Decision No. (17) of 1977, issued on April 23, 1977, in accordance with the Law on Clubs and Public Benefit Associations. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.
During more than two decades of activity, the Federation contributed to organizing and participating in many local and international tournaments, and played an active role in establishing the Arab Chess Federation and joining the International Chess Federation in 1980. In 2000, bridge was merged with chess under the umbrella of a specialized club, and a decision was later issued to re-register it as a sports club specializing in mind games under the supervision of the General Authority for Youth and Sports.
Games hosted by the club
The club offers four mind games, including two internationally recognized games by the Olympic Committee, chess and bridge, as well as two other regionally and internationally popular mind games.
